A drama that examines what happens when otherwise ordinary people find out they have superpowers. All strangers at first, it is slowly revealed they they are all connected somehow as a greater conspiracy unfolds as well as a global danger of a nuclear bomb that they seem predestined to stop. As the mysteries of who they are and the dangers they face as individuals and a group unfold, they band together, one at a time, to save the world and possibly each other.

Peter resolves to prevent an earth-shattering end whatever the cost and so takes on a dark, unwieldy ability to save the world, gambling that it won't destroy him. Hiro and Ando set out to uncover the identity of the Villain who hired Daphne, and must consult with Adam Monroe. H.R.G. resolves to get rid of his new partner. Meanwhile, Claire hits the road after one of the Villains from H.R.G.'s old files. Suresh gives in to impulse. Linderman and Molly return in unexpected manners, and a new romance ignites between two of the Heroes.
